Claire Chastain scoring in Oklahoma isn't new.
Chastain, a redshirt senior, is a part of the Cowgirls’ 3-0 team after transferring from UT Arlington, where she has spent her past four seasons. Last season, Chastain averaged 8.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists with the Mavericks. She also led the team in scoring in 2019-20.
Although Chastain attended UT Arlington the past four years, Oklahoma is home for Chastain. She is an alumna of Dale High School, where she was an Oklahoma All-State selection and a 1,000-point scorer. Dale is just a 58-mile drive from Stillwater, making it even easier for Chastain’s fans and family to show their support.
