Central Michigan Sack Leader to Miss Opener Against Oklahoma State

Senior defensive end Blake Serpa, the Chippewas’ leader in tackles for loss and sacks in 2014, will be out for the season opener because of a lingering knee/hamstring injury according to Nate Schneider of the Mount Pleasant Morning Sun.

Schneider announced the injury news via his Twitter late Monday morning:

Coach Bonamego basically made it official today that Sr. DE Blake Serpa (knee/hamstring) is out Thursday. Hope is a return for Monmouth game
