Steven Campbell is familiar with winning. His track record shows it.
With a knack for supercharging programs with virtually no history of success before he arrived and sending talented junior college athletes to schools in the Southeastern Conference, Campbell’s approach has not changed now that he is the first-year football coach at South Alabama.
This is his first head coaching venture in the Football Bowl Subdivision. But, as he pointed out, this is not his first rodeo against the top college football competitors in America.
“I’ve been an assistant coach in the SEC before and a coordinator in the Sun Belt conference before this,” Campbell said.
