ARLINGTON, Texas — Baseball games can be won in the most unorthodox ways.
Friday’s Opening Day 5-3 OSU win against Missouri is a prime example.
Juaron Watts-Brown started at Globe Life Field for the Cowboys in his first start for OSU.
“I felt good heading in,” Watts-Brown said. “I still need to get in shape a little, I think. But overall, I felt pretty good.”
But he wasn't the driving force for the win.
Credit the bullpen. All were newcomers, too, beside junior Nolan McLean.
Drew Blake, a redshirt freshman who hadn’t thrown a pitch at the college level, faced the heart of the order.
