When the Buffalo Bills went to the home locker room at halftime on Monday night, they trailed the New England Patriots 9-3. But a first half deficit could not dampen the mood at New Era Field on this special night.
Hall of Fame running back Thurman Thomas was honored during a halftime ceremony emceed by ESPN’s Chris Berman. A video presentation highlighted his 13-yard career that included five Pro Bowls and two First-Team All Pro selections and MVP season in 1991. And it included a shout out from Thomas’ idol and fellow HOFer, Earl Campbell.
Thomas is still the all-time leading rusher for the Buffalo Bills franchise (11,938 yards) as well as holding that same title at Oklahoma State (5,001 yards).
