Gavin Stika is comfortable with being uncomfortable.
Stika, OSU’s newest 197-pound wrestler, doesn’t mind being thrown into a pressure-filled situation. Since Jan. 24, when A.J. Ferrari, OSU’s defending national champion sustained non-serious injuries from a car accident, Stika has earned the respect of his coaches and teammates.
And on Friday night, he received a standing ovation in front of thousands of orange-clad fans.
Bolstered by dozens of takedowns, Oklahoma State squashed Bucknell 32-6 in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Stika earned his second dual win, 3-2 over Bucknell’s Mason McCready.
