Brandon Weeden not to blame for Dallas defeat

ARLINGTON, Texas — Brandon Weeden scrambled to his left, which is a measure of last resort. Then for the only time all day, Weeden lost his mind. He tried to throw back across his body, the ball floated far over intended target Jason Witten, and the Falcons' William Moore intercepted.

JerryWorld groaned. Weeden beat himself up. Atlanta quickly began a 23-yard touchdown drive.

And that was Weeden's only major mistake of the day. The Falcons ruined Weeden's latest chance to stamp himself as a legitimate NFL quarterbacking, beating the Dallas Cowboys 39-28 Sunday. But don't lay this defeat at Weeden.
