Former Oklahoma State tight end and Detroit Lion Brandon Pettigrew was arrested in Pittburgh on Monday, according to an Associated Press report.
Pettigrew allegedly refused to pay a $97 bill to a limousine driver who called the police after he and the 33-year-old NFL free agent began arguing. Police stated that Pettigrew was visibly intoxicated and refused to identify himself to officers.
Things apparently escalated from there including Pettigrew punching one of the officers three times in the chest. He did eventually comply after officers pulled tasers which they did not have to discharge.
Pettigrew was taken to Allegheny County Jail where staff members were forced to employ a restraint chair after he would not comply with commands.
