The Cowboys enter Saturday’s tilt against the Wildcats as one of the “First Four” teams, according to the two most widely regarded bracketologists, meaning — for now — they are narrowly projected into the 68-team field as one of the last teams in slated to play in Dayton.
CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm has the Cowboys as the third team in that category, while ESPN’s Joe Lunardi has the Oklahoma State just a spot from his “Last Four Byes.” For now, both project the Cowboys playing in Dayton for a chance at the 64-team field.
