Boynton: 'We're a little bit down right now ... But, our program has a spirit, has a life.'

Lindy Waters couldn't miss a shot to start the game.

Waters, a junior captain on the Oklahoma State men's basketball team, seemed to breath life into Gallagher-Iba Arena each time the ball left his hand and sailed into the hoop in the first half of the Cowboys' 70-61 loss to in-state rival Oklahoma on Wednesday.

The Cowboys (8-11, 2-5), despite being an undermanned team after removing three key players from the program last week for disciplinary reasons, came out hot behind an energetic shooting performance from Waters, who led all scorers with 20 points to start the game.
