Boynton brainstorms ways to improve offense as Big 12 play approaches

Mike Boynton doesn’t pretend he was Batman.

Boynton, the Oklahoma State men’s basketball coach, acknowledged that he wasn’t a high-scoring superhero when he played for South Carolina. He compared himself to Robin, Batman’s sidekick.

“I wasn’t all that athletic and was a very average shooter,” Boynton said. “On a good night, I was Robin, but I did all the little things that helped my team win.”

As Boynton’s OSU squad prepares for its last nonconference matchup before a grueling Big 12 schedule starts, he is striving for the Cowboys to settle into their places on offense.
