Jay Rosser was in Boone Pickens’ suite for the OSU-McNeese State game Saturday night. Rosser, Pickens’ right-hand man lo these many years, found an old photo album in the closet.
There was Boone with the Paddle People. Boone with the cheerleaders. Boone working one of the concession stands at the stadium that bears his name.
Rosser thought of those photos Wednesday, when Pickens died at age 91. We have written much about all that Pickens did for his alma mater. All the major gifts that led to a glorious stadium and facilities to rival any in America and academic advancement for OSU.
