Bo Overton was in the locker room Thursday night when his Oklahoma City University women’s basketball team suffered its first loss. Overton wasn’t cleaning up, though that’s one of the few tasks not assigned to an NAIA coach.
Overton had been ejected from the game at Wayland Baptist, and OCU went on to lose 65-50.
But things could be worse. The Stars routed Panhandle State 76-49 Saturday to raise their record to 28-1, and OCU’s Panhandle trip – Wayland, Texas, and Goodwell, Oklahoma – went better than a year ago, when not only the OCU bus, but also the replacement bus, broke down.
