Tulsa-- Oklahoma State wrestling has already all but sealed its fifth straight conference title after the opening session of the Big 12 Wrestling Championship. The Cowboys tallied 76.5 points thanks to five pins and three technical falls. South Dakota State sits in second place with 43.5 points.
"Postseason, you talk about wrestling better than you have all year," OSU coach John Smith said. "I'd say for a first round for us, we did that. We wrestled better than we have all year. You know that as you advance in that championship bracket it gets tougher, so we need to recognize that matches are going to get tougher as we advance through the bracket.
