TULSA — Boo Lewallen stood up stiff and crossed his arms over his chest with a confident grin, briefly holding his pose and staring toward all the cheering fans dressed in orange.
“I usually don’t really celebrate too much, but it felt right just to stand there,” Oklahoma State’s 149-pound wrestler said after pinning Iowa State’s Jarrett Degan with only 42 seconds left on the clock in the Big 12 championship semifinal on Saturday at the BOK Center.
“I just took it all in. This time last year, I was in a hospital bed, watching guys wrestle, so it means a lot.
