Oklahoma was embarrassed by its Bedlam rival in January, then lost to Oklahoma State again at home in February.
The Sooners weren't about to lose a third Bedlam in the same season.
“I felt like we had to get back at them,” said sophomore center Vionise Pierre-Louis. “I felt like this was our chance. They're not going to beat us three times.”
Oklahoma beat the Cowgirls 61-43 Saturday in the Big 12 quarterfinals inside Chesapeake Energy Arena, pulling away in the third quarter after both teams struggled shooting the ball in the first half.
At halftime, the Sooners led 25-22, but were shooting just 32.
