TULSA – Pete Hughes, seated for Sunday's postgame press conference, looked left and looked right and found two players barely in Oklahoma's equation mere weeks ago now acting as key components for his club.
Suddenly, the Sooners are finding players and wins.
That was a combined storyline Sunday, as freshman pitcher Dylan Grove gave OU a good start and Cody Thomas, still transitioning from football, dinged Oklahoma State again, leading to a 3-1 Bedlam win before an announced crowd of 6,084 at ONEOK Field.
The Bedlam series win was another find, the first of the Hughes era and OU's first since 2010.
