With Oklahoma scuffling, lugging a five-game losing streak into Sunday’s Bedlam series finale, having already dropped the series, the day carried a heaviness for the Sooners.
And OU coach Pete Hughes didn’t dodge it.
“I called it a must-win game,” Hughes said. “I did, absolutely.”
Hughes wouldn’t say if he suggested as much to his team, but him personally, yeah.
