Oklahoma State closer Trey Cobb secured the final out in Saturday's long-delayed opener of the Bedlam series, with a strikeout turning away a Sooner rally and clinching a 9-7 win.
For Cobb, a senior from Broken Arrow, it was his program-record 88th career appearance. Yet while the win gave Saturday's Game 2 meaning, there was still work to do, with the Cowboys needing another win to climb over Kansas State and into the Big 12 Tournament.
