TULSA — Dustin Williams' season has been very much a hit-or-miss proposition.
More misses than hits, too, as the Cowboys first baseman has worked to locate consistency at the plate.
But oh, when Williams hits it hard, which he did Saturday night — twice — it's a game changer.
On a Bedlam Saturday night in Tulsa, Williams shifted momentum in the game and possibly the series, drilling two-run home runs in back-to-back innings, the third and fourth, sending No. 15-ranked Oklahoma State to a 10-9 win before an overflow crowd of 8,007 at ONEOK Field.
The Sooners, who trailed 10-3 at one point, rallied with three runs in the eighth and three more in the ninth, but left the bases loaded when Michael Mertz — OSU's fourth pitcher of the final inning — got Sheldon Neuse to pop up to Donnie Walton at short.
