Oklahoma State was selected second in the Big 12 preseason poll voted by the league's baseball coaches, the conference announced Thursday morning.
Defending regular-season champion TCU earned the top spot. Texas, which won the Big 12 Tournament at ONEOK Field in Tulsa last season, was tabbed third.
Coaches are not permitted to vote for their own team.
All three teams earned first-place votes with only two points separating the Horned Frogs and Cowboys. OSU went 38-20 in 2015 and fourth-year coach Josh Holliday looks to bring the Cowboys back to Omaha for the College World Series for the first time since 1999, when he played.
