TULSA – The old offensive philosophy of taking what the defense gives you can only go so far.
But before we take a deep dive into that, let’s address two things.
First, No. 13 Oklahoma State dominated rival Tulsa 45-10 at H.A. Chapman Stadium on Saturday in the 77th edition of the Turnpike Classic. The Cowboys (3-0) logged 560 yards of offense. The defense, through three quarters, held the Golden Hurricane (1-2) offense to just 253 total yards. And quarterback Alan Bowman completed 24 of 31 passes for five touchdowns and 396 yards, which Bowman joked postgame “could have been 400” had it not been for an ill-advised throw, which led to an interception.
