As we look ahead to the 12th-ranked Cowboys’ Alamo Bowl contest with Colorado, we can also celebrate the team’s accomplishments in the classroom. According to TIME (and a study by Washington think tank New America), OSU’s football program is No. 22 in the annual academic rankings of college football teams.

Last year, the Cowboys were ranked 20th. The only other Big 12 schools in the top 25 were Oklahoma (No. 8) and West Virginia (No. 13). The rankings are based on GSR (graduation success rates) and how they compare to the overall graduation rates of male students outside of the football program at each school.
