STILLWATER — A year ago Saturday, Mike Boynton was announced as the 20th coach in Oklahoma State basketball history. After the challenges his first 365 days brought, he's expecting different ones in 2018-19.
“I already told the guys returning next year that next year's going to be much harder than this year,” Boynton said Wednesday. “ ... Now, people expect us to be competitive again.
“When you've got to perform the way people think you should, it's a different ballgame.”
The Cowboys will have to replace Jeffrey Carroll, Mitchell Solomon, Kendall Smith and possibly Tavarius Shine, four of their five leading scorers.
