Oklahoma State will open their 2018 season against everyone’s favorite kind of opponent — an FCS team.
The Cowboys will face off against the Bears of Missouri State in a Thursday night opener, in what should be a nice opportunity for the team to break in a new starting quarterback and an entirely new-look defense.
Other than that though… bleck.
That’s always my response to FCS teams on the schedule, something Oklahoma State fans are rather familiar with.
While this season will mark just the fourth time since 2005 that the Cowboys have opened with a team from the Football College Subdivision, it will be the 11th time overall that a Gundy-coached squad has faced one in the non-conference slate.
