'A game of inches': OSU splits double header with Loyala Marymount

There was a moment in the 10th inning of OSU’s loss to Loyola Marymount where OSU coach Josh Holliday saw a level of dominance within his team.

He saw the offensive potential and pitching talent piecing together, with 14 hits and 16 strikeouts. On the other end, he saw the inconsistencies and youth, unable to capitalize with runners-in-scoring-position.

There was everything in the Cowboys’ 10-8 loss in 10 innings to LMU, splitting Saturday’s double header.

“I think what we had done over the last series of games is (remarkable),” Holliday. “We put together some great pitching performances and our guys did an amazing job.
