With cases COVID-19 cases rising throughout the country, this was a cause for concern for coach Mike Gundy.
“I was driving home the other night, two or three nights ago, going the back way, going south where my house is and I drove across Sixth Street, and saw what I would call a block party,” Gundy said. “Students were welcoming themselves back. And that's what we need to try to avoid as our guys.”
With the Big 12’s new policy for the 2021 that will see teams forfeit games and receive a loss if they cannot play due to COVID-19, the health of players on OSU’s team is more important than ever.
