Make it three commits in two hours.
Cam Smith, out of Braswell High School in Denton, Texas, announced an Oklahoma State commitment Wednesday. It was a fairly quick turnaround for Smith and the Pokes, as he was just offered April 25.
Smith is listed on recruiting sites as an athlete, playing wide receiver and corner, but based off his offer tweet mentioning OSU cornerbacks coach Tim Duffie and safeties coach Dan Hammerschmidt, it looks as if Smith will be a defender when he gets to campus.
Smith’s 6-foot-1 frame gives him even more versatility defensively, as he can be a big-bodied corner or a ball-hawking safety.
