The first College Football Playoff rankings of the 2019 season has Oklahoma State debuting at No. 23. The lowest ranked team in the initial rankings to ever make the CFP was Ohio State in the first CFP, who debuted at No. 16 and wound up as the No. 4 seed.
Oklahoma State isn’t going to make the playoff with three losses. ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit commented that OSU’s six wins say a lot because the Cowboys made the top-25 with three losses.
Other Big 12 teams included No. 9 Oklahoma, No. 12 Baylor and No. 16 Kansas State.
