The Oklahoma State wrestling team begins its postseason this weekend with the Big 12 Wrestling Championships at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Cowboys went 15-0 during the regular-season for their first undefeated season since 2005. OSU received six No. 1 seeds earlier in the week during the pre-seeded drawings.
Head coach John Smith opted to have Jacobe Smith and Dakota Geer be OSU’s 174- and 1844-pound wrestlers, which prompted a wrestle-off at 165 pounds between Joe Smith and Chandler Rogers. Joe Smith, who earned All-American honors at 157 in 2016 and 2017, won the best-of-three series 2-0 to take the spot.
