Oklahoma State received six No. 1 pre-seeds Monday for this weekend’s Big 12 Wrestling Championship.
The pre-seeds were voted into their positions by the conference’s 12 head coaches and are subject to change. The final seeds will be confirmed during a pre-tournament coaches meeting Friday at BOK Center in Tulsa.
OSU leads the way with six No. 1 seeds: Nick Piccininni (125 pounds), Daton Fix (133), Kaden Gfeller (149), Jacobe Smith (174), Preston Weigel (197) and Derek White (Heavyweight). Despite being the top seed, Fix, Gfeller, Weigel and White all have first-round matches.
