How he got to OSU
Cook came to the Cowboys as a walk-on from Canadian High School (Canadian, Tex.) where he played on both sides of the ball. As a running back he rushed for 2,122 yards and 32 touchdowns on 9.5 yards per carry his senior season. He was also a pesky defensive back and returned punts and kicks. Cook’s versatility and production earned him all-district honors all four years of his prep career.
