Jeff Badet was the first pick of the Dallas Renegades with the No. 4 overall pick in Tuesday's XFL Draft.
Badet never played for Stoops with the Sooners, but committed to Oklahoma before Stoops stepped down and Lincoln Riley took over.
During his season as a graduate transfer in Norman, after three seasons at Kentucky, Badet had 26 catches for 400 yards and three touchdowns.
Earlier Tuesday, former Oklahoma quarterback Landry Jones was assigned to the Renegades.
Stoops is the Renegades' coach and general manager.
