STILLWATER — Without Oklahoma State in the field for the NCAA women's golf championships, Oklahoma becomes the closest thing to a home team at Karsten Creek Golf Club this weekend.
The Sooners, who earned the sixth and final qualifying spot at their regional in Texas, enter the tournament with some added confidence that several of them have played multiple rounds on a unique course where familiarity is like gold.
Oklahoma will be one of the first teams on the course on Friday, going off the No. 1 tee at 7:30 a.m. with Auburn and Florida State for the first of three stroke-play rounds, after which the field will be cut from 24 to 15 teams.
