Even if Texas’ president tweeted last week his commitment to Charlie Strong through the season, you know how social media is. A lot can get misinterpreted in such a small space. And when you factor in the combustible possibilities if it all goes off the rails at the State Fair, well, all bets are off.
So a 45-40 loss to Oklahoma before 92,100 at the Cotton Bowl would seem to signal Strong’s good for now. A good thing, too, because fixing Texas’ defense is going to take more than a week.
Any encouraging signs in your first game as your own defensive coordinator, Charlie?
