The Madness has begun.
Tuesday night ushered in the NCAA Tournament, the basketballstravaganza that will captivate the sports world for three weeks. We'll have noon-to-midnight ball. We'll have drama and anguish. We'll have Cinderellas and "One Shining Moment".
It'll be grand theater.
But who will be the actors?
We can't know exactly. There are always unexpected folks who take leading roles. Just look at last year. Out of the blue, the tournament gave us the stool-sitting, sometimes-falling Georgia State coach Ron Hunter, the crying piccolo girl in the Villanova pep band and the press conference stenographers who fascinated the Wisconsin players and prompted the first known use of onomatopoeia and antidisestablishmentarianism in a basketball interview.
