Last week, I produced a list of the top 10 quarterbacks in OU history. I’ve made up similar lists several times over the years, and they have changed over the years. I’ve learned more about some quarterbacks in the past, I’ve learned more about football in certain eras, I’ve occasionally changed how I prioritize certain elements of quarterback play.
My list last week drew some complaints, mostly about Jimmy Harris’ omission. Harris, of course, was the quarterback from early in the 1954 season through the 1956 season. The meat of the 47-game winning streak. Harris’ record as the starting quarterback was 25-0.
