Jessi Murcer grew up dreaming of playing for the Oklahoma women’s basketball team, watching players like Gabbi Ortiz and Danielle Robinson play for the Sooners. Now, the Westmoore product is playing a big role for OU. Going into Sunday’s game against Kansas State, Murcer has started four consecutive games and is coming off a 15-point performance in Bedlam.
Q: What’s clicked for you the last few weeks?
A: It’s just been getting in the flow with the rest of my team, getting connected and trying to get better defensively because that’s something that I need to get better at, both off- and on-ball, just really looking at trying to get my teammates open shots and when I’m open knocking down open shots.
