Oklahoma Christian University assistant coach Andrew McGuire is getting his first shot at head coach with one of the state’s most prominent baseball programs.
McGuire was named Westmoore’s new coach Thursday, the school announced.
“He brings a wealth of high school and collegiate coaching experience, as well as commitment to developing young baseball players into men of character,” Moore Public Schools athletic director Brian Fitzgerald said in a statement.
“Between his vast knowledge and esteemed work ethic, we believe he will lead the program successfully.”
McGuire replaces Joe Patterson, who was named Mustang’s coach following the season.
