MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Coming off a career-high 28 points in Wednesday's Bedlam win at Lloyd Noble Center, West Virginia threw plenty of defensive pressure at Oklahoma freshman forward Brady Manek on Saturday night.
It wasn't just the pressure directly on Manek but the cutting off of the usual passing lanes that led to much of Manek's scoring in recent games.
The result was an 89-76 Mountaineers win that saw Manek be held scoreless for the first time this season.
Manek attempted just two field goals — one from 3-point range.
“It's not like you're running necessarily plays when you're playing West Virginia, you just have to space the floor and try to create advantages,” Sooners coach Lon Kruger said.
