MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Just before Oklahoma and West Virginia took the field Saturday night at Milan Puskar Stadium, snow intensified and the game began in near-whiteout conditions.
It didn't take long for Oklahoma to take advantage of the weather conditions, as Sam Grant recovered Gary Jennings' fumble on a punt just more than a minute into the game.
The turnover gave the Sooners the ball at the West Virginia 34.
Oklahoma needed just six plays to find the end zone with Joe Mixon getting the ball on each of the final four plays.
After kickoff, the snow quickly dissipated, first to a light flurry and then stopping completely.
