Baker Mayfield was asked by ESPN to read aloud a letter he wrote to his mom, Gina, for Mother's Day. He didn't know she was listening in the next room.
The SportsCenter special captured the moment between Mayfield and his mom when she opened the door and surprised him.
"It's nice that she could actually hear it, not just on paper, but hear it come out of my mouth," Mayfield said. "It's kind of hard to really put myself out there, but I know she knows where I'm coming from with these stories."
