NORMAN — Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray has long had a decision to make regarding his future — baseball or football? — but the timeline of that choice could be much longer than Monday’s deadline for underclassmen to declare for the 2019 NFL draft.
If Murray declares for the NFL draft this week — and therefore does not report to the Oakland A’s for spring training — he would forfeit the remainder of his signing bonus. MLB Network’s Jon Morosi reported this back in December, but only as it relates to Murray potentially becoming an NFL player.
