University of Oklahoma approves sale of alcohol at football games

OU fans will be able to enjoy a cold one at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium next fall.

After an experimental pilot program, the University of Oklahoma officially approved the continued sale of alcohol at athletic events.

The OU Board of Regents just passed a recommendation to authorize the continued sale and advertising of alcoholic beverages at athletic events and facilities.#Sooners

The announcement was made at the Board of Regents’ meeting in Norman on Friday morning.

Oklahoma sold alcohol at basketball games for the 2018-19 season as part of the pilot program.
