Kansas State stunned Oklahoma 38-35 in a wild college football game at Owen Field on Saturday in which OU led 35-14 late in the third quarter. The Sooner grades reflect a total meltdown on both sides of the ball:
Ball protection: F.
The OU defense does not produce takeaways. That has been well-established in Alex Grinch’s 16-game tenure as defensive coordinator. That means the Sooner offense needs to take care of the ball. That didn’t happen Saturday. Spencer Rattler threw three interceptions, tailback Seth McGowan lost a fumble, Rattler bobbled a snap on a fourth-and-1 quarterback sneak and Kansas State blocked a punt.
