NORMAN — Trae Young had mixed success going into the lane in the final three minutes of Tuesday’s game against Baylor.
Baylor’s 7-footer, Jo Lual-Acuil Jr., was waiting for Young in the middle.
But in the final seconds, with Lual-Acuil still waiting there, Young wasn’t about to turn off his aggressiveness.
The freshman point guard drove toward the basket, shifted the ball into his other hand and tried to flip it up and off the backboard.
The shot didn’t go in but Young drew the foul, went to the free-throw line and sank both shots to put Oklahoma ahead for good in the 98-96 win at Lloyd Noble Center.
