Trae Young won't represent Team USA in the upcoming FIBA Basketball World Cup.
The Atlanta Hawks point guard and former Oklahoma star left Team USA camp Thursday due to a "minor eye infection," according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst.
"It is with deep sadness that I have to leave USA Basketball Minicamp to deal with a minor injury," Young tweeted. "Although I look forward to seeing Coach Popovich and the team bring home the gold this summer, I feel it is most important for me at this moment in my career to focus on my health and preparing for the NBA season with the Atlanta Hawks.
