The No. 1 Oklahoma women's gymnastics team cruised to a 197.675-194.600 road win over No. 14 Arizona State on Saturday behind a big performance from senior Maggie Nichols.
Nichols won the all-around title with a score of 39.750, a nation-best. She posted a 9.95 on vault, 9.925 on floor, and 9.975 on beam, winning all three. Sooners freshman Ragan Smith won the bars title with a 9.925.
“The most exciting thing about Maggie is how much she’s trusting herself and how much her team and her coaches trust her,” Oklahoma head coach K.J. Kindler said. “Every time she steps out on the floor you just have so much faith.
