Three observations from Oklahoma's 83-71 win over Harvard in the Diamond Head Classic championships

It wasn't easy for Oklahoma in the Diamond Head Classic in Honolulu.

But the No. 3 Sooners are coming back with a trophy after beating Harvard 83-71on Friday night in the championship game.

Oklahoma stayed undefeated with big second halves against Washington State in the opener and the Crimson in the title game and ground out a win over host Hawaii in the semifinals.

The Sooners (11-0) remain undefeated going into the Jan. 2 Big 12 opener at home against Iowa State. Oklahoma was scheduled to catch a red-eye flight to Dallas before bussing back to Norman on Saturday before taking some needed time off before the game against the Cyclones.
