Last season, a fan led campaign got Neyland Stadium, home of the Tennessee Volunteers, to look like a true checkerboard. Fans were encouraged to search for their section on a website, and then wear whatever color was assigned for that section. The outcome on the field was a 10-9 loss to the rival Florida Gators, but the movement in the stands was a big winner.
Now, the campaign is back for the team’s home opener on September 12th, when the Vols welcome the Oklahoma Sooners to their home:
